The Perfect Family Holiday in Egypt

Have you always dreamed of taking an exciting and exotic holiday that the whole family can enjoy?  Whether your family is looking for luxurious beaches, sightseeing to rival any other country in the world, or just a chance to relax on a warm, sandy beach, then look at some package holidays to one of the most interesting places on earth; Egypt!

See The Sights

Egypt is home to one of the world’s richest collections of ancient artefacts, and there’s sure to be something that excites every member of the family. Maybe your children want to tour the pyramids, or you prefer marvelling at the ornate construction of one of Cairo’s oldest mosques, The Al-Azhar. Either way, there is truly no shortage of magnificent sights to see in one of the oldest civilisations in the world. Just make sure to keep hydrated and covered from the sun as you tour the sights; as everyone knows sunburn and dehydration can put a damper on even the best of family times!

Explore The Local Cuisine

Odds are your family has its own unique way of seeing the world.  If your family prefers to experience new places and cultures through new tastes, then Egypt is the perfect destination. Situated on the Mediterranean, somewhere in the center of Europe, Asia, and Africa, you can bet Egypt delivers when it comes to food. Start the kids off with a traditional kebab and watch the fun ensue as they try to navigate meat on a stick! If you happen to be in Alexandria, or anywhere near the coast, take advantage of your proximity to the sea and sample some of the best seafood the world has to offer.

Relax On The Beach

You can bet that travelling to a nation on the coast means you and the family will be doing at least a little serious relaxing on your holiday. If you’re on the north coast of Egypt, head to the beaches west of Alexandria and enjoy the Mediterranean Sun. If you and the kids never want to leave the beach, take your pick of a number of family friendly hotels and attractions along the coast. If you’re family is a bit more adventurous, and decide to tour the south eastern part of the country, take a boat from Hurghada to the Giftun Islands in The Red Sea and check out the reefs offshore or try a windsurfing lesson if the conditions are right. Whatever you choose, the beach is guaranteed family fun, and Egypt is one of the best places in the world to take advantage.

Ride The Camels

Don’t expect to travel Egypt without taking your children on a camel ride. One of the oldest forms of transportation in the world, a ride on a camel can transport you and your family to a different time, when constructing pyramids was the order of the day, and a Pharaoh was running the show. Less than an hour from Cairo, the whole family can jump on camels, tour the desert, and see some of the oldest structures in the world in a truly traditional form.
