5. Here are things which can be done at home to help the climate. Number the most
important with a figure 1, the next most important with a 2, and the third with 3.
- Don’t fill the kettle with more water than you will use
- Avoid leaving TV’s and computers on Standby
- Change to a “green” electricity supply company
- Fit solar hot water panels on the roof
- Switch off lights and appliances when not in use
- Look for small cracks and gaps in the walls and around door and window
frames and get rid of them
- Change to low energy light bulbs
6. Do you know about the White Paper on microgeneration of heat and
electricity announced this month by government minister Ed Miliband? Y / N
7 Do you think the government should continue giving communities, including
charities, tens of thousands of pounds (£’s) to fit microgeneration equipment? Y / N
