Newent Market Town

Newent Market Town
Newent is one of the most attractive towns in the Forest of Dean area, offering a wide range of attractions for any visitor, and is located approximately 8 miles North West of Gloucester City. It remains an unspoiled market
town, with many of the buildings dating from the 13th century. It’s Old Market Hall, in the centre
of the town, was built in 1668. Newent is also home to the National Birds of Prey
Centre, which boasts 160 birds of prey, a pet’s corner and coffee shop, as well as the Shambles Museum. Set in over an acre, this museum is set out as a small town of cobbled streets, Victorian houses and shops, recreating the feel of Victorian life in the area. Newent is also in close proximity of the Three Choirs Vineyard – England’s leading and
most awarded single estate vineyard. There is a number of walks in and around Newent to be explored, as well as a vast and expansive history!
